Kaylene Gardner

Kaylene grew up quilting along the side of her maternal grandmother, Minnie. Some of her fondest memories are sitting along the quilting frames hand quilting with Minnie. Several years ago Kaylene convinced her husband of 35 years to make a short trip to the local Gammill dealer to “look” at the Statler, needless to say the purchase was completed that day and Kaylene’s transition from a midarm to the Gammill system was complete. Kaylene works full-time as a Regulatory Supervisor in the minerals extraction industry and enjoys spending her free time with family, which includes 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren. She has been known to combine her love of the outdoors and quilting pulling out her sewing machine, piecing together a quilt while camping on the mountain. Kaylene enjoys traditional piecing, paper-piecing, wool applique, and long-arm quilting. She loves to create her own quilt patterns, as well patterns for her longarm.  Kaylene loves sharing her knowledge of quilting with others by teaching a class or just sitting down with an individual to share tips and tricks.
